“I don’t want to have to be like a Scarlett Johansson — who I have nothing against,” the 22-year-old “Transfomers” star reveals in the June issue of Esquire. “I don’t want to have to go on talk shows and pull out every single SAT word I’ve ever learned to prove, like, ‘Take me seriously, I am intelligent, I can speak.’ I don’t want to have to do that.

“I resent having to prove that I’m not a retard — but I do. And part of it is my own fault.”

Fox tells the magazine that her sexual appeal comes naturally and certainly isn’t something that she tries to put forward.

“I’m just really confident sexually, and I think that sort of oozes out of my pores,” she says. “It’s just there. It’s something I don’t have to turn on.”

Fox, who hits the big screen next month in the sequel, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” admits that she’s currently “at a really vulnerable point” in her life.

“I don’t know how I feel or think about anything right now, and I feel like I’m under a microscope,” the actress says. “Normally I love playing the game, but that’s when I’m in an assertive place. I’m not there right now.”
