HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Don’t count on Dylan McKay returning to his old Beverly Hills stomping grounds.
Luke Perry says he has no plans to reprise the role that made him famous on the upcoming CW “Beverly Hills, 90210” spinoff.
“I can’t re-imagine it currently,” the 42-year-old actor revealed Thursday on “The Billy Bush Show.”
Perry told the host that he hasn’t really considered a return to the contemporary version, which has already signed on original cast members Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling, to go along with a brand new cast that includes Rob Estes, Lori Loughlin and AnnaLynne McCord.
“It’s just not something that I’ve thought about to be quite honest,” Perry said. “I don’t see it happening.”
While he doesn’t envision reuniting with his old friends, Perry said he’ll be rooting for the show’s cast — both old and new.
“I wish them a lot of luck,” said Perry, who next stars in “A Gunfighter’s Pledge,” which airs July 5 on the Hallmark Channel. “I hope they have a lot of success with it.”
