HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lynne Spears is letting the world in on raising a pair of Hollywood stars.
The mother of Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears plans to share her personal memoirs in a book set for release this September.
“Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World” will shed insights on Lynne’s raising of pop star Britney and “Zoey 101” actress Jamie Lynn.
Both children have faced their share of tabloid fame, with Britney’s well-publicized troubles following her divorce from Kevin Federline and 17-year-old Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy announcement late last year.
“When Jamie Lynn got pregnant, it was put on hold,” a spokesperson for publisher Thomas Nelson Inc. tells People magazine. “Lynne never stopped working on it because she wants to express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother’s eyes.”
Thomas Nelson, which publishes Bibles and inspirational books, says it will definitely not be a “parenting book,” but rather a memoir about a mom “raising two very famous people.”
“Lynne has had a dramatic life. People will be be very surprised to find out the kind of person she really is,” the book’s co-author, Lorilee Craker, added to People.
