Fifty Shades of Grey scribe EL James ousted James Patterson to become the world’s top-earning author, according to a list released Wednesday by Forbes. Her Twilight-inspired trilogy, about an impressionable young girl who meets a kinky entrepreneur, raked in a massive $95 million, mostly from e-book sales.
Patterson, meanwhile, ranked second, with $91 million, followed by Hunger Games’ Suzanne Collins ($55 million) and Bill O’Reilly ($28 million). (Poor ol’ J.K. Rowling made just $13 million.)
