HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Dylan McDermott has filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years, Shiva Rose, court records show.
The 46-year-old actor cited irreconcilable differences in his court papers, which were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last Friday.
McDermott, who previously starred on TV’s “The Practice,” and Rose, 39, an actress, were married in 1995.
The couple separated in March 2007, according to court documents.
McDermott is seeking joint custody of the couple’s two daughters, Collette, 11 and Charlotte, 2, the documents state.
McDermott most recently starred on the ABC television series “Big Shots,” which was cancelled this year.
He will be returning to the big screen in the future, where he will star in “Streets of Blood,” alongside Val Kilmer, Sharon Stone and 50 Cent.
