‘Anchorman’ Ron Burgundy To Release Memoir

The man behind the legend (and mustache) is getting a book deal.

Ron Burgundy, the central character from the Anchorman film series, has reportedly signed a contract with Random House’s Crown Archetype to pen a memoir about the life and times of the face of the Channel 4 News Team. (Think How I Met Your Mother‘s Barney Stinson writing his Bro Code.)

The San Diego TV journalist, played by actor Will Ferrell, will make yet another appearance in theaters later this year with the release of the sequel to the 2004′s Anchorman. Titled Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, the comedy is set to premiere Dec. 20.

I don’t know if it’s the greatest autobiography ever written. I’m too close to the work,” Burgundy says of his upcoming tell-all in the press release. “I will tell you this much: the first time I sat down and read this thing … I cried like a goddamn baby, and you can take that to the bank!”

This one’s sure to be a glass case of emotions.
