According to latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands Friday, Simpson was drinking heavily on May 10 at L.A. eatery Mexicali Cocina Cantina. The 27-year-old singer was joined by best pal CaCee Cobb and her boyfriend, actor Donald Faison.

The night ended with Cobb reportedly getting sick in the restaurant and Simpson being forced to call her mom for a ride home.

Meanwhile, the tabloid reports that Simpson’s current beau, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, was partying the same night away in Chicago and telling friends he’s newly single.

Over the weekend, Romo, 28, was seen getting cozy with a mystery blonde at the Chicago club Manor. Photos of his adventures surfaced earlier today on PerezHilton.com

Simpson married Nick Lachey in 2002, but the couple announced they were splitting three years later. Following the divorce, she was linked to her “Employee of the Month” co-star Dane Cook and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine.

The “Irresistible” singer started dating Mayer in 2006, but the relationship ended after nine months last May.

In November, Simpson’s relationship with Romo started reaching the tabloids.

Mayer, 30, and Aniston, 39, became front page news when they were first spotted together last month. The former “Friends” star met up with the singer for a late lunch on April 25 at Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink. Later in the evening, the duo ventured out to Casa Tua on South Beach.

Last week, tabloid photos of the lovebirds sunbathing together in Miami, where Aniston is filming “Marley & Me,” started making the rounds.

“Listen, this is not a scandal, this is not an issue, this is not a problem, this needs no spin control,” Mayer told Entertainment Tonight of the photo scandal last week.

“This is me living my life and a guy with a really powerful lens and I don’t fault him, I don’t fault anybody, I don’t fault you, I don’t fault this or that,” he added. “There are much worse problems in the world. Everything’s cool!”
