HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Britney Spears was involved in a minor traffic accident Saturday evening on a Los Angeles freeway, Reuters reports.
The 26-year-old pop star rear-ended a car in stop-and-go traffic while traveling northbound on the 405 at the 101 freeway around 8:20 p.m. As a result of the collision, the rear-ended car pushed forward into another car. The driver of the third car, however, drove off after noticing their vehicle was not damaged, the CHP incident report said, according to Reuters.
Spears, who was driving her 2008 white Mercedes, was not injured, nor were the others involved in the collision.
No tickets were issued as a result of the crash, a California Highway Patrol official said.
Last week, Spears got a ringing endorsement from CBS following a well-received guest appearance on the network’s “How I Met Your Mother.”
“We always said, ‘You know, if her character pops, we’ll bring her back,’ ” the sitcom’s executive producer Carter Bays told the Associated Press. “I thought she was great. I was very proud of that episode.”
