HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — O.J. Simpson apparently wants to be front and center in American television households again.
The ex-football star, who was acquitted on double-murder charges, has reportedly reached out to the producers of NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice” with the hopes of landing a spot on the hit Donald Trump reality series, according to the New York Post’s Page Six.
“Simpson really wants to do it. Trump and NBC are thinking about it, but are being very cautious,” the source said. “There’s a certain amount of heat associated with Simpson.”
However, when reached about the possibility of the former Heisman Trophy winner landed a spot on the show, an NBC spokesperson said there was absolutely no truth to the report.
“Completely false. NBC has not considered him and will not cast him on the show,” the NBC honcho tells the Orlando Sentinel.
