HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Actress Halle Berry and her boyfriend, French-Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, welcomed a baby girl, Nahla Ariela Aubry, on Sunday at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
“Everyone is doing great!” her rep tells Usmagazine.com.
The 41-year-old Berry met her 32-year-old beau while shooting a Versace ad in Los Angeles in November 2005. Last September, Berry confirmed she was pregnant, announcing that she was three months along.
It is the first baby for Berry, who was previously married to baseball star David Justice and singer Eric Benét. Appearing on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” shortly after her pregnancy announcement, the Academy Award-winning star spoke out on her previous marriages and becoming a mother for the first time, admitting that she and Aubry are not planning to tie the knot.
“I feel more married, in a way, than I ever have in two marriages before,” she told the talk-show host. “He really understands the spiritual connection is so much more important than the paper and the pomp and circumstance and the ceremony.”
Berry spoke of how the couple tried for a child for months before finally hitting the jackpot “after about 35 tests.” She said they have plans to add to their family again soon.
“We’re hoping, right after this one, to do it again,” she said.
