HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Could wedding bells possibly be ringing in the near future for hot new couple Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo? Well, a few pals of the lovebirds certainly seem to think so.
“I think they’re going to get married,” Michael Starr, a close friend of Romo’s, reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly.
Starr’s bold statement comes on the heels of another insider predicting wedding bliss for the couple. Romo’s ex-girlfriend, actress Sophia Bush, also tells Us, “I think they could go the distance.”
The 25-year-old Bush, who dated Romo briefly last year, says the couple is a match made in heaven.
“They’re perfect for each other,” the “One Tree Hill” star says. “They’re both funny and wonderful and kind. I’m rooting for them.”
All the wedding chatter even has Simpson’s ex, Nick Lachey, chiming in with his own well wishes.
“I wish her nothing but happiness,” he tells Us. “If she’s found that… good for her.”
But before anyone gets too excited, we must consider another insider, who paints a very different picture.
“I think it’s a press stunt,” a close friend of Jessica’s tells OK! magazine. “She always leaks information about her faux love life when she’s desperate to get her face on magazine covers!”
