HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jesse Metcalfe was involved in a late-night scuffle Thursday night with the boyfriend of actress Taryn Manning.
The incident took place outside Hollywood nightclub Boulevard3, after Metcalfe approached the couple. According to sources, Manning and Metcalfe are friends, but her boyfriend wasn’t aware of that fact.
Following an exchange of words, Manning’s boyfriend said, “Hey, buddy,” before delivering a knock-out punch that sent Metcalfe to the ground.
The 29-year-old “Desperate Housewives” actor got up and attempted to retaliate, only to be restrained.
A second incident took place later in the night between Metcalfe and Manning’s beau, identified by TMZ as Mams Taylor, an apparent wannabe UK rapper. Upon spotting the couple again, Metcalfe went flying at the sucker-puncher and placed him in a chokehold.
Security and others eventually intervened and Metcalfe was soon ejected.
Metcalfe entered rehab last March for “alcohol issues.”
