HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks is opening up about her relationship with ex Nick Cannon, as well as her new love, New York Giants football star Osi Umenyiora.
In an interview with People, the Caymanian supermodel reveals she’s thankful for her time with Cannon. The couple ended their engagement last fall.
“I learned a lot in the relationship with Nick, and it helped me grow as a woman,” the 24-year-old says.
Ebanks and her new beau, a defensive lineman for the Super Bowl champs, are said to have met several weeks ago at a New York Knicks basketball game.
“It’s one day at time for us. I am very happy,” says Ebanks, who was discovered by Elite Model Management at the age of 17 while walking through the turnstiles at a Six Flags theme park.
Influenced by her seven brothers, Ebanks played several sports growing up, including basketball, football and tennis, so she just so happens to be a fellow sports fanatic.
While the new lovebirds don’t have any specific plans for Valentine’s Day, the supermodel does admit to People her dream evening.
“I want to sit back on a couch and watch a movie or a game, and just spend some quality time together,” she said.
