HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Adam Sandler died rumors began to spread late Tuesday, but they have not been confirmed and appear to be a Web hoax.
Sandler, 44, has kept a low profile of late, having last appeared on the big screen in the comedy Grown Ups earlier this year. He also starred in just one film a year earlier, appearing in Funny People with Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Eric Bana and Jonah Hill.
Sandler’s next film is a romantic comedy that co-stars Jennifer Aniston. The film, Just Go With It, revolves around a plastic surgeon romancing a much younger schoolteacher, who enlists his loyal assistant to pretend to be his soon to be ex-wife in order to cover up a careless lie. When more lies backfire, the assistant’s kids become involved, and everyone heads off for a weekend in Hawaii that will change all their lives.
Just Go With It, which also stars Nicole Kidman, Brooklyn Decker and Dave Matthews, opens in theaters on Feb. 11, 2011.
