HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Did San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker get caught cheating on Eva Longoria with a teammate’s wife?
Extra says the couple’s marriage fell apart when Longoria discovered the basketball star was having an affair that could also impact his NBA team. The fallout allegedly began when the Desperate Housewives star found hundreds of text messages from the teammate’s wife on Parker’s cell phone.
Neither the woman’s identity nor the name of the Spurs teammate have been revealed.
Longoria filed for divorce in Los Angeles Wednesday, citing the standard irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
"Eva wants everyone to know, she’s devastated by the rumors of Tony’s infidelity. She loved her husband and is heartbroken about their split," says friend Mario Lopez of Extra. "But she’s strong."
Longoria, 35, and Parker, 28, married on July 7, 2007 in a 17th century castle outside Paris.
