HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Falcon Heene, the 6-year-old Colorado child affectionately known as the “balloon boy,” is clearly not used to receiving so much media attention, or he simply throws up a lot.
On Friday, the balloon boy appeared with his family on ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today Show, where he proceeded to vomit on both shows.
There has been widespread speculation that Thursday’s incident in which Falcon was believed to be aboard a runaway helium balloon over Colorado was nothing more than a publicity stunt. Speculation that the family may have staged the event kicked into high gear when Falcon said during a CNN interview: “We did this for a show.” When asked about his comment on GMA, Falcon turned to his mother and said, “Mom, I feel like I’m going to vomit.”
Falcon also vomited when his father, Richard Heene, was answering the same question on the Today Show.
“I’m starting to get a little ticked off,” responded the elder Heene to suggestions of a hoax. “I’m repetitively getting asked this. What do I have to gain out of this? I’m not selling anything. I’m not advertising anything. My family and I, we do this all the time.”
