BALTIMORE — Ray Lewis brought the hammer on Sunday with a devastating hit on Chad Ochocinco, who may have thought for a moment that his name was still Chad Johnson.
The pass to Ochocinco was wildly overthrown, but that didn’t stop Lewis from delivering a fierce hit on the Cincinnati receiver.
Ochocinco was in a forgiving mood after the game, posting a message on his Twitter account in which he told NFL commissioner Roger Goodell not to worry about fining Lewis.
“Please don’t fine Ray Lewis Mr. Roger Goodell, it was a clean hit, it’s part of the game, save the fines for me, Esteban out,” he wrote.
Carson Palmer threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Andre Caldwell with 22 seconds left to as the Bengals escaped with a 17-14 victory over the Ravens.
