Amal Clooney definitely deserves straight A’s for her style. The 36-year-old barrister, who is a visiting faculty member at Columbia University in N.Y.C., was snapped grabbing a coffee near the school’s campus Wednesday, and she looked like she stepped out of the pages of a magazine. (She also reminded us of the chic “work” Barbie we had when we were younger.)

The trendsetting lawyer selected a timeless tweed Oscar de la Renta suit, which she teamed with nude laser-cut pumps and her go-to Ballin bag, a style which happens to be named the “Amal” in her honor. She finished the look with Heidi London sunglasses, and of course, that perfect, bouncy blowout that rivals Princess Kate’s. The outfit also showed off her incredibly-toned legs. (We wonder if she’s been going to Barry’s Bootcamp?)

Amal’s style influence also seems to be on the same trajectory as Kate’s, as some retailers are seeing a spike in sales thanks to the fashionable star.
“Amal Clooney is a style icon as well as being fiercely intelligent and a great role model,” a rep for denim brand Citizens of Humanity told PEOPLE, noting that they have a higher-demand for the Amal-loved “Corey” jean thanks to her support. “She has a unique influence in the fashion world and consumers love to see what she is wearing. It’s always a thrill to see her in Citizens of Humanity.”

She also had fashionable New Yorkers heading to the luxury vintage boutique What Comes Around Goes Around to look for mink baseball caps after she purchased one at the store.
“We got half a dozen calls after that, asking if we had any more mink baseball hats or if could locate some,” Gerard Maione, co-owner of the shop, told PEOPLE. “It proves what a style trendsetter she is.”
He added: “She is such a sweetheart. She is totally down to earth. She had been in the store prior to being Mrs. Clooney, but back then, she was a lot more under the radar.”
