Courtney Love has been promising fans new music since last summer, and now it’s finally here.
Love’s new single, “You Know My Name,” is the first music she’s put out since Hole’s 2010 album “Nobody’s Daughter.” The song is part of a double-A-side single, “You Know My Name”/”Wedding Day,” that will be released on May 4, according to Love’s YouTube channel.
The release of the new songs coincides with Love’s nine-date U.K. tour, which kicks off in London on May 11, and isn’t surprising given the fact the last time HuffPost Entertainment chatted with the singer, she lamented touring without new material.
The 2:44 second song sounds like old school Love at her best, and if it’s any indication of what her forthcoming album will sound like, it was worth the wait.
