Fifty Shades of Grey‘s leading lady stepped out for the first official stop on the much anticipated film’s press tour at the Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC on Friday, Feb. 6. Her ensemble? Equal parts coed and Red Room Anastasia Steele.

Clad from top to bottom in Balenciaga, Johnson, 24, a natural blonde who dyed her hair chocolate brunette for the role, donned a fuzzy white sweater with oversized buttons as a blouse, which she tucked into a tight leather pencil skirt. (Looks like there’s a little dominatrix in Johnson after all!)

Keeping up the theme, Melanie Griffith‘s daughter also sported a hairstyle that was both sweet and sassy. With hair by Dove celeb stylist Mark Townsend, Johnson rocked a messy side braid with tousled bangs and a few tendrils pulled loose—a sexy take on the schoolgirl staple.

Her face, however, was the image of innocence. The Ben and Kate alum modeled winter-fresh makeup by Pati Dubroff, complete with flushed cheeks, lush lashes, and a rose-hued lip.

Of course, she wasn’t the only one who turned it out on the red carpet! Her handsome costar, Jamie Dornan (aka the world-over’s love, Christian Grey) looked dapper in a black suit with an unbuttoned white shirt and sexy scruff.
