You’re familiar with designer Tamara Mellon’s work, even if you don’t know it. She’s the co-founder of Jimmy Choo, who stepped down to start her own eponymous clothing line and has gone on to dress a ton of celebrities and supermodels. (She’s also responsible for creating the legging boots Karlie Kloss and Kim Kardashian love so much!) And now that the fashion insider has just shared news of her engagement to CAA co-founder Michael Ovitz, we’re already thinking about their star-studded guest list.

“In December, he surprised me with a beautiful ring,” Mellon told HELLO! magazine (via Pret-a-Reporter). “It wasn’t entirely out of the blue because he kept saying, ‘I’ve got something really important for you.’ He first asked me to move in with him over a year ago, then I suppose he wanted to show his commitment.”
Mellon’s new sparkler is definitely gorgeous — and ginormous. She’s now sporting a mega-carat cushion cut diamond on her left hand, that might even give Kim’s some serious competition. And we bet her wedding dress (and shoes!) will be equally as spectacular.

But before she heads down the aisle, Mellon said she plans to move in with her husband-to-be in N.Y.C.
“It’s a long-term project — we’re going to knock the whole building down and start again,” she shared. “We’re really excited to have a project to work on together.”
