What do Dianna Agron, Camila Alves and Reese Witherspoon have in common? Amazing style, obviously. So, we were thrilled to see all three beauties step out to not one but two events yesterday, rocking hair and makeup looks for both occasions worthy of placement on Pinterest boards across America. Let’s look at how they turned heads, twice in one day.

To juxtapose Agron’s sweet sky blue vintage-style dress, worn to the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event, hairstylist Christian Wood and makeup artist Georgie Eisdell gave the actress a modern feel with radiant skin and dramatic slicked-back hair. Eisdell created a “fresh” glow by prepping Agron’s skin with iS Clinical Hydra Cool Serum and Orlane Super-Moisturizing Light Cream — and topping off her foundation with Hourglass’s Ambient Lighting Palette for allover luminosity. Then Wood “toughened up” the look with a sleek pony. He applied Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil to her damp platinum hair before brushing it back, then once he got the pony in place, he layered Fekkai Sheer Sculpt Gel on small sections of her hair to create the appearance of glossy highlights.
For the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund dinner later that day, Agron emerged in a notice-me floral ensemble — so of course she opted for rock star hair and makeup to match. “Hot in pink,” Eisdell rightly captioned the look on Instagram. For her makeup, “I wanted there to be a coolness about it, so I went straight for the eyes,” she says. To amp up her lids, Eisdell lined them with Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Liner in Black Ink, then applied NARS Shadow in Sycorax. As for hair, the two only had had 30 minutes for “a quick change!” explained Wood on Instagram. Keeping the original part from the previous look, he added faux-hawk-like volume. “I decided a textured updo with a little height at the front would give the outfit an edge,” he said.

Alves, seemingly inspired by her lines in her ivory Ashi Studio dress, went for a sleek look for her appearance at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event. The naturally curly girl went pin straight and added drama with a deep center part. Her nude-tone makeup highlighted her perfectly shaped arches, while a lighter shadow brightened up her eyes. But at night, for her appearance at the American Cinematique Award Gala honoring her husband, she transitioned from fashion-forward to full-on glam. Instead of matte skin, she exuded a dewy glow. Alves also traded her very muted nude lip color for a pinker pout. Lastly, she gave her tresses some bend and texture before sweeping it into a chignon.

As Witherspoon proves time and time again, a little wave goes a long way. For her appearance at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event, as well as at the American Cinematheque Award Gala honoring Matthew McConaughey, the actress opted for the timeless style. “The daytime [look] was more voluminous, playful and all around very girly,” says her hairstylist, Giannandrea. But for evening? “Femme fatal waves,” said the stylist on Instagram. He applied Macadamia Professional Oil before refining the waves around her face and defining her side part for a more chic result (also amping up her nighttime vibe? A vibrant lip). “This is a great style to transition from daytime into night — but shine is a must!” advises the pro. The way the star works her signature style, we’d have to agree.
