When Selena Gomez strips down, you can bet she’ll do it with confidence. And her latest photos for V Magazine‘s 94th issue prove it. The singer went topless, but she completed her look with high-waist denim underwear courtesy of Guess, a polka-dot Minnie bow, and a pair of red hoop earrings.
In the rest of the black-and-white images, shot by Inez and Vinoodh, the star accessorizes with Western-inspired wares, including a Dsquared2 denim jacket, a Chanel bandanna tied around her neck, and a couple of cowgirl hats.
The editorial builds tension, straddling the line between playful and sexy, but maybe that’s what she’s going for. After all, she’s about to release a personal and somewhat emotional album, and as she tells James Franco in her interview, all she wants to do is grow up.
