Grammys 2015: Pharrell Wears a Magical Shorts Suit That Changes Colors and More Bold Guy Style

It’s not all about the ladies tonight at the Grammy Awards — but what’s a fashion forward dude to do in order to stand out from the rest? Let’s put it this way: It’s no March of the Penguins out there on the red carpet, with Pharrell Williams, Nick Jonas and more guys making style statements we can’t help but notice.

It’s not quite the same effect as the oversize cartoonish hat he rocked last year, but Williams still managed to turn heads tonight with his take on a shorts tuxedo. A shortedo? Tuxorts? In any case, Williams’s homage to L.A. weather had him going sockless in his white dress shoes paired with crisp white formal shorts, a white suit jacket and perfectly tied white bow tie. The coolest part? His head-to-toe adidas look changed colors when the cameras flashed on it. “When a light hits is it, it will turn bright white,” he shared.

Speaking of lighting up the night with bright whites, the youngest Jonas brother must’ve gotten the memo as well, trotting out some blindingly white, laceless high-top sneakers to go with his gray, yellow, white and black plaid suit.

And proving that his sister isn’t the only one in the family who can make a splash, Frankie Grande went with fiery red from the tips of his hair to his velvety sneakers, going for a shiny yet subtle floral pattern with bits of bright indigo to spice things up. As if any extra spice was needed with this one.

Though this batch of guys definitely pushed the limits of manly style, we’ve gotta admit — there’s a hat-shaped hole in our hearts that might never be filled again.
