Is Amal Alamuddin saying yes to the dress — and to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge‘s bridal designer?

The international attorney (and George Clooney‘s stylish fiancée) was spotted on Wednesday at the London headquarters of Alexander McQueen, the fashion label that created Kate’s iconic ivory satin and lace bridal gown.

Alamuddin looked stunning in a mixed-print one-shoulder maxi dress for her day of errands. Along with her mother, Baria, Alamuddin visited London’s Michael John salon as well as McQueen’s headquarters — and paused outside the McQueen offices to exchange goodbye kisses with a seamstress wearing a pincushion still on her arm. (All the better to assist with a fitting?)
Contacted by PEOPLE, the firm — led by creative director Sarah Burton — had no comment on Alamuddin’s visit.
But there is no doubt that Alamuddin, 36, and Clooney, 53, are in full wedding-planning mode, having obtained their marriage license in August. The two plan to exchange “I do’s” in Italy, where they spent much of the summer at Clooney’s estate on Lake Como.
As for the groom, WWD reported in August that designer Giorgio Armani had flown an entire team to Lake Como to fit Clooney and his male attendants for the wedding.
