Almost exactly two years ago today, Lenny Kravitz hit the streets of N.Y.C. looking super-warm and super-cozy in the most gigantic scarf in the history of street-style scarves. The internet hasn’t let us forget it (though we’re thinking we have Instagram “star” @thefatjewish to thank for jumpstarting the current Twitter frenzy about the now-infamous pic), and neither has Taylor Schilling, who shows us that Lenny’s accessory legacy is alive and well via her airport outfit from Tuesday.

When the Orange is the New Black star was photographed leaving LAX covered in a scarf that’s as big as she is (so big we’re thinking maybe it’s two: one huge one layered over one small one?), we knew that we had a Fashion Faceoff on our hands … sort of. For one, it’s clear Schilling was going for comfort with her body-blankie, which is more than we can say for Kravitz, who was just strolling casually in N.Y.C., not fresh off a long flight. Ultimately we’ve decided her look is more cozy than crazy.

But honestly, in a time when Burberry ponchos are all the rage, Rihanna wears a couture Snuggie and pregnant Blake Lively steps out in not one, not two, but three different oversize cloaks, it’s tough to be truly shocked by an impeccably draped blanket. It’s only a matter of time before someone steps out wearing a belted duvet cover. Or wait, did that already happen?
Tell us: Do you have fond memories of seeing Lenny’s scarf on the web way back when? Would you wear a similarly immense neck accessory?
