The hottest thing at the Balmain show in Paris? The newly-dyed blonds sitting in the front row. Not only did Kim Kardashian West go platinum, but Jared Leto also debuted a bleached do — just days after chopping all his hair off (and leaving the rest of us to deal with our emotions).

Leto cut off his famous ombré, chest-length strands in preparation for his role as The Joker in the upcoming film Suicide Squad. (He also shaved his beard.) At first he was just sporting a short cut, his brunette mane untouched. But the actor has been gradually evolving his look, showing up at Paris Fashion Week with a totally bleach-blond mane. The cut appears to be shorter (almost shaved) on the sides and longer on top. (Yes, he’s also wearing a white turtleneck at the show. The Karl Lagerfeld is strong with this one.)
