Chris Pine really is a prince! The Into the Woods actor helped steady Jennifer Lopez when she tripped on her dress as they walked offstage together after presenting at the 2015 Oscars on Sunday, Feb. 22.

The “Booty” singer, 45, was on hand to present the Academy Award for Best Costume Design to The Grand Budapest Hotel‘s Milena Canonero. After Canonero’s speech, Lopez linked arms with Pine and turned to leave, stumbling a little over the skirt of her voluminous Elie Saab Haute Couture number, which had a long train.

The American Idol judge recovered quickly — she never seemed to be in danger of really falling, thank goodness — but Pine, Canonero, and the aspiring filmmaker who’d presented the actual trophy reacted instantly to her misstep, looking down at her dress to make sure she was okay.

Earlier in the night, Lopez made a more graceful entrance on the red carpet. Strutting her stuff outside Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, she stunned in the cleavage-baring sparkly gold gown, which she accessorized with platinum and diamond jewels.
