There’s a style war happening in the PEOPLE office. The key players? Jessica Alba vs. Nina Dobrev. Both stars have been on a non-stop fashion parade to promote their new projects in N.Y.C., debuting one cute look after the other, and it’s really hard to declare a winner. (We’d happily add any of these outfits to our closets.) So it’s up to you, the dedicated PeopleStyleWatch.com readers, to crown a style queen. But before you do, read the important recap below.

We haven’t even seen any big red carpet premiere looks yet for her Sin City promo tour, but judging by her smaller appearances, Alba’s going to continue to hit it out of the part. First, she’s been nailing it in the midi department. Her white lace Tart top and denim skirt combo is a great outfit for this type of year, and can easily go into fall with the right jacket and shoe adds. Next — and probably her most dressed down look — is a pair of striped cotton pants (printed pants are huge right now), graphic tee and black blazer. This is definitely her #iwokeuplikethis moment of the week.
Moving on to more formal day looks, the actress selected another midi — a marigold Osman design, which she teamed with a striped Houghton top and a embellished Fiona Kotur shoes. And lastly, her Hail Mary look of the week: a button-down Alice + Olivia top, white wide-leg Max Mara trousers and Chloé wedges and a Christian Louboutin purse that we’ll be talking about for a long time to come.

Now that you’ve seen the case for Alba, let’s move to another brunette bombshell: Dobrev. Ever since her ex Ian Somerhalder has been spotted out and about with possible new fling Nikki Reed, the Vampire Diaries star has been picking up her style game. Coincidence? Maybe, but we’re still taking notice.
First, her super-chic Elie Saab pants look, teamed with a matching capelet, black silk top, checkered Bionda Castana shoes and a turquoise Andrea Fohrman moon pendant. Next she mixed prints and textures in a lip emblazoned Markus Lupfer sweatshirt and floral skirt, teamed with read Dolce & Gabbana sandals. For an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Dobrev wore a gold embroidered Naeem Khan dress and studded Brian Atwood pumps. And to round out her stylish week: a J. Mendel midi with the Bionda Castana pumps once again. Something else to note: her hair looked flawless every. single. time.
Okay, so they both look great, but whose style are you loving more? Share your pick — and any other thoughts — in the comments!
