Karl Lagerfeld and Miley Cyrus Start an Act of Rebellion

It’s not like this is the first we’ve seen Miley Cyrus strip down for a cover shoot. But this is the first time she was photographed by Karl Lagerfeld for V magazine while wearing a furry Fendi one-piece. Fittingly, the cutout number can really only be described as “so Miley.” The partnership between the singer, the Kaiser, and, of course, that fur suit, is a fitting one for the magazine’s Rebel Issue, on newsstands Sept. 10.

According to V, rebellion is defined as “taking ownership of one’s ideas and craft and not compromising even when difficult situations arise. Staying true to one’s self and one’s art, no matter what, takes courage and discipline, which is vital to any artist’s survival.” Yes, we think Miley fits the bill.

But she’s not the only one showing off her true colors this month. Blake Lively looks totally sophisticated and confident on Marie Claire, Queen Bey graces the fifth issue of CR Fashion Book, and Rihanna goes edgy for W. Scroll down to see the stars, along with the rest of September’s fresh lineup.
