She skipped the veil and princess gown, but Katie Couric went big on the bridal diamonds on her wedding day. The news anchor — who wed fiancé John Molner in an intimate ceremony in East Hampton, N.Y. Saturday — chose two very noteworthy pieces of jewelry by Beladora for her big day.

Along with a floral adornment in her updo, Couric accented her wedding look with a stunning pair of platinum-set dangle drop earrings containing nearly six carats of diamonds. She paired the statement sparklers with a coordinating Beladora 1930 Estate “Art Deco” diamond bracelet weighing in at 11 carats and also set in platinum.
Couric wore an ivory beaded Chantilly lace halter gown by Carmen Marc Valvo, which she selected only a week before her nuptials. Another unconventional choice? Showing the groom her look for help on the final dress call.
“I hope this isn’t bad luck, but I actually tried it on for him,” she shared. “I tried on a number of dresses and I was so busy, I had a crazy spring.”
