Sure there were all these gorgeous gowns to captivate your attention at the Met Gala, but there were also some very fancy headgear that stopped red carpet traffic Monday night. We’ve gone over the gowns, and now it’s time to talk accessories.

• Lupita Nyong’o: To complete her flapper-inspired custom Prada gown, PEOPLE’s Most Beautiful Woman wore an emerald-green vintage Cartier necklace as a headpiece, along with lots more vintage Cartier jewels. These out-there jewels (plus the dress itself) are the reasons why the star nabbed our risk-taker award.
• Beyoncé: The singer can pull off pretty much anything. And by anything, in this case we specifically mean a netted Givenchy veil to match her sheer heavily-embellished Givenchy couture gown. She almost reminds us of a goth bride.
• Sarah Jessica Parker: The Met co-chair pulled out all the stops in a custom Oscar de la Renta design (which featured the designer’s name in red embroidery on the train), and she also went big in the hair department, sporting a truly insane updo with floral hairpins tucked into it. As for jewels, 19th Century Fred Leighton diamond drop earrings (four carats each!) added to the glam factor.

• Olivia Munn: “It’s my own version of the Hunger Games,” the actress told PEOPLE of the ’40s Fred Leighton diamond and gold wing brooch that her stylist Micaela Erlanger fashioned into a hairpiece. As for her dress (a collaboration between Erlanger and designer Diane von Furstenberg), Munn shared: “I feel so comfortable. It’s so nice, and it’s so comfortable.”
• Kate Upton: The only thing that can distract us from her the swimsuit model’s décolletage in her black Dolce & Gabbana gown, is that flowered hairpiece/wreath/thing lying atop her back her blonde waves. ‘Nuff said.
