Nicole Kidman Steps Out For First Red Carpet Event Since Father’s Death, Looks Lovely at Omega Launch

Welcome back, Nicole Kidman.

Since her father’s tragic passing on Sept. 12, Kidman, 47, has been keeping a very low profile, taking the time to grieve with her family privately.

But on Thursday, Oct. 2, the Oscar-winning actress stepped out officially for the first time to attend the Omega De Ville Prestige “Butterfly” Launch in Seoul, and she looked absolutely stunning doing so.

The Australian star, who also serves as the face of Omega watches, demurely posed for pictures in a midnight blue gown, cinched at the waist with a velvet belt with a bejeweled buckle. Her shoulder-length blonde tresses were styled into loose waves.

Kidman added just a touch of sparkle to her dark ensemble with a diamond necklace, two diamond bracelets, and a ring, all by Harry Winston. She also modeled an Omega wristwatch.

The Grace of Monaco actress mourned her father, Dr. Antony Kidman, on Sept. 19, during a private ceremony. Dr. Kidman passed away after he suddenly fell in his hotel while visiting Nicole’s sister, Antonia, a journalist on assignment in Singapore.

On Sept. 30, Kidman sent out this heartfelt message of thanks to her immense fan base via her Facebook page. “We would just like to thank everyone for their love and prayers over these past couple of weeks. We are all heartbroken but knowing we are in the hearts and thoughts of others is so comforting,” she wrote, signing the note with both her and husband Keith Urban’s names.
