Only Blake Lively Can Pull Off a Skin-Tight, Backless Dress While Pregnant: See the Gif

Blake Lively recently told us it’s “rare” for her to keep the gorgeous clothes she wears, but the star’s latest jaw-dropping gown definitely has a place in her closet. That’s because she bought it herself!

Lively purchased the black, backless Kaufmanfranco gown she wore to Tuesday’s L’Oréal Paris’s ninth annual Women of Worth Awards. And once again, she proudly put her growing bump on display. (We wonder if she’ll recycle it post-baby?) See the look from all angles below.

While most moms-to-be might steer away from skin-baring clothes, Lively has been proudly rocking her body on the red carpet in high-fashion labels, from Michael Kors to Gucci. The 27-year-old actress is also making dark roots look totally cool again. (Seriously, pregnant Blake our new favorite Blake.)

Plus, Lively is definitely the one calling all the shots on her maternity wear.

“It’s such a passion of mine,” she told PEOPLE in September. “That’s the reason I don’t have a stylist, not because I think I can do it better than any of these people, but because I just love it so much that it would be like handing over something. It would be like making a cake and then handing it off to someone else to ice and decorate. Why would you do that?”

As for motherhood, the star feels prepared for the challenge thanks to her upbringing and the strong women in her life.

“My mom was someone who juggled everything. She had her own career, she raised five kids, she was Superwoman,” Lively shared. “And she was never satisfied doing just one thing because … she probably just had too much energy. So for me, it was important to have that because that’s what I felt like I knew best.”
