These women are the true glitterati! Sequin bottoms can now be considered an official Oscar mini-trend (in the 50-and-over crowd), thanks to both Milena Canonero, 69, and her Oscar presenter Shirley MacClaine, 80, who rocked sequin pants back-to-back at the podium.

Dazzling in her sparkling trousers, the Best Costume Design winner helped The Grand Budapest Hotel take one of the leads for the most wins of the telecast, snagging Oscars for costume design, makeup and hairstyling and original score. (Talk about a stylish film!)

And Canonero’s ear bling and choker necklace also deserve some fashion shout outs. The award is clearly a perfect fit for the outfitter, who isn’t afraid to accessorize.

The Italian designer also created the costumes in the 2006 Kirsten Dunst film Marie Antoinette and the futuristic looks in the 1971 dystopian movie A Clockwork Orange. And this marked Canonero’s ninth Oscar nomination.
