Sexy. Bold. Gorgeous. Those are three words celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg used to describe Rashida Jones’s stunning beauty moment at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. And we have a special video of the star getting ready, which will make you love her — and her glam squad — even more.

“The dress was so colorful, so my first instinct was to go for a popped lip, but then we decided it might be too much, so we went for an earthy tone,” Greenberg told PEOPLE, adding that the lip color changed again last minute. “We ended up going for the pop with hot pink.”
Greenberg shared that the look (which took two hours to create) was about “staying modern but really channeling the Italian Riviera.” And to do that, Jones needed the perfect dewy complexion.
“It was about having perfect skin with a glowy cheek,” she shared. “The foundation, highlighter and blush are all airbrush makeup.” (Watch the glam transfromation below — and yes, the actress looks so stunning, even without any makeup on!)
Hairstylist Kylee Heath and Jones’s stylist Brad Goreski joined Greenberg to help prep Jones for the red carpet, and the trio nailed the look together.
“Rashida emailed me a picture of her in the dress and we chatted about it,” Greenberg said. “Brad weighed in too. He usually has inspiration pics.”
Jones’s Andrew Gn gown was a best-dressed contender in Goreski’s opinion. “The dress is a bold statement,” he shared. “It has the most gorgeous construction you’ve ever seen, a super-defined waist, plunging neckline and these amazing electric pink flowers all over it. It’s best dressed.”

For the hair, Heath created a deep side part and pulled the star’s strands into a horizontal bun with a braid running through.
