Gorgeous—and modest!
Pamela Anderson opened up to Parade magazine for a candid talk about her life, career, and goals. And she also shared one surprising piece of information: The world’s sexiest TV lifeguard didn’t think she had the looks to be a model.

“I’ve decided to get working again… I’ve just signed with Next Modeling agency for commercials and appearances. That is funny. I’ve never felt pretty enough to be a model,” the Baywatch alum, 47, confessed to the mag. “I think I’ve provoked feelings with how I look. Not as a beauty but as a mischievous little rascal!”

Indeed, Anderson has courted headlines for years, thanks to her high-profile romances, racy photoshoots, and bodacious body. And yet, the mom of two, who has five film projects in the works, would like to be remembered for much more than her famous hourglass shape.

“I want to be remembered as someone with a big heart. A freedom fighter,” Anderson, who started the philanthropic Pamela Anderson Foundation in May 2014, said. “I believe that artists are the freedom fighters of the world. I come straight from the heart and that’s not always politically correct. It’s not always what people expect, but I do follow my gut.”

One thing Anderson’s gut tells her: Steer clear of the Botox! The longtime PETA supporter said that, cliched as it sounds, her mom always told her that beauty comes from within, and that’s the advice she’s always believed in most. “I don’t really feel like I want to chase youth,” she said. “I want to get old. I want to experience all the seasons of my life.”
