What does it take to put a gown together for the Super Bowl of Fashion? Rita Ora shared behind-the-scenes pictures of her last fitting with Donna Karan Atelier exclusively with Us Weekly.

Unlike some stars who hand-pick their glamorous gowns for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala, Ora, 23, left the decision to someone else.

The “Hot Right Now” singer put her trust in her stylist, Jason Rembert. About two months before the May 5 event, Rembert began working with Donna Karan Atelier on a custom look for Ora.
The design team presented an idea to Rembert and it was love at first sight. However, instead of gushing about the gorgeous antiqued gold-sequined gown featuring a sculpted train to Ora, mum was the word. “He and his assistant kept it a secret because they wanted to surprise Rita with the gown,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively.

When Ora finally saw the gown at the first of three fittings, she was “over the moon,” the insider says. Since no detail goes unnoticed, the designer team even embroidered her custom gladiator heels by Casadei to match.
Her favorite thing about the Donna Karan creation? “The color,” Ora told Us on the red carpet.

To finish the look, Ora wore a bold lip color using Rimmel London Moisture Renew in Red Alert while Chris Appleton for Garnier Fructis slicked back her short bob.
