Julianna Margulies is honored that Michelle Obama swiped her TV alter ego’s style. The First Lady wore a Michael Kors suit to last week’s State of the Union, previously seen on The Good Wife‘s Alicia Florrick.

“Well first of all I didn’t know until the next day, because I had an early call, and when I woke up there were literally 89 emails and I thought there had been some sort of natural disaster,” she told PEOPLE and TNT on the SAG Awards red carpet. “My first thought was, ‘How on Earth did anyone remember?’ It was season 5 episode 10 — it was over a year and a half ago.”

She added: “I’m unbelievably flattered. I’m a huge fan and I think that suit says I’m powerful, I’m elegant, I’m feminine, but don’t mess with me.”
The nominee went for high-drama on the red carpet, selecting a royal blue Giambattista Valli gown with a mega-high slit. But we doubt the First Lady will step out in the same gown anytime soon.
