PEOPLE’s former hottest bachelor Joe Manganiello proposed to Vergara with a mega-carat (we’d guess over 6) oval diamond on what looks like a diamond band. And the blinding rock definitely deserves a spot in our Most Unbelievable Engagement Rings of 2014 gallery.
No confirmation on who designed the stunner yet, but Lorraine Schwartz (the mastermind behind Kim Kardashian and Blake Lively’s amazing rings) is currently the frontrunner in the office pool.
Vergara, who just launched a line with Kay Jewelers called the Sofia Vergara ‘So Sofia’ collection, told PEOPLE earlier this month that she’s a supporter of the “Diamonds are girl’s best friend” philosophy.
“If you find a guy who gives them to you then he should be your best friend,” she shared. (Judging by the size of her new diamond, Manganiello is definitely her best friend.)

The Magic Mike star, 38, popped the question to the the Modern Family actress, 42, on Christmas Day while vacationing in Hawaii. And he used the couple’s luxe suite at the St. Regis Hotel in Princeville as the setting.
“He said he wanted to keep it private just in case she didn’t say yes,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE exclusively. “It actually didn’t seem like he was joking about that. He did seem genuinely nervous that maybe this wasn’t going to go well. He said this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with a one-in-a-million woman.”
