Caroline Issa is a tastemaker with impeccable timing. The CEO of the Tank Group and street style favorite just debuted her collection for Nordstrom Signature ahead of New York Fashion Week, which left us wondering just how she’s managing to launch her line in the midst of the madness (spoiler alert: because she’s a boss!)? And then naturally, would we get to see her wearing it at the shows?
We got our answers when we met the lovely Issa for a fireside chat at a cozy suite in the Greenwich Hotel last Thursday. There, she took us through her perfectly tailored lineup, explaining the subtle references to style icons Lauren Bacall, Audrey Hepburn, and Slim Keith – women, she explains, “who were confident, accomplished, and wore clothes to complement their everyday life.” Not unlike her inspirations, Issa can easily be imagined in every piece of the polished, very chic, and completely wearable looks. In fact, you can expect to see her wearing most of it when Fashion Week kicks off on Thursday – and yes, you can shop it, too.
