Stylish Sibs! Noah Cyrus, Stella Hudgens and Alli Simpson Model for Mudd

It can be tough growing up in the limelight of a famous older sibling, as Noah Cyrus (Miley‘s little sis), Stella Hudgens (sister to Vanessa) and Alli Simpson (Cody‘s her big bro) can attest.

One way to cope? Get in front of the camera yourself. The three teens (Alli’s 16, Stella is 19 and Noah is 15) landed their first big ad campaign, posing with Vine superstars Jack & Jack and Sammy Wilkinson and we chatted with them about their time on set. Spoiler alert: There were so many selfies.

Was this your first modeling experience? What surprised you?
Stella: This is my first time doing anything, really, for modeling. I didn’t know I would have this much fun — it doesn’t feel like work! I want to be doing this for a while.
Alli: I’ve done a couple campaigns, but each one is so different and exciting. It’s cool to do it with people, because most of the time I’m doing shoots by myself. It’s not as fun to not be able to have that engagement. I’m really a people person so it’s fun to do it with friends.
Noah: I’ve done a few photoshoots, but this is is my first, like, big production photoshoot. When I got the call was like really shocked, and then I heard that Stella was in it and Alli was in it and I was really excited to work with them. Stella and I have been friends for a long time and I was excited to meet Alli because she is a really cool girl.

Any tips from your siblings on how to pose? What have they taught you about life in the spotlight?
Stella: Vanessa has taught me that my style really represents who I am sometimes, so depending what mood I’m in, that will show. If I’m feeling confident, I’ll wear heels and a dress. If I’m feeling lazy I’ll wear sweatpants. Vanessa really taught me how to be myself and not keep up with trends. I like to go and do my own thing. And I don’t like to keep up with what everyone else is doing. She’s always been very experimental and always starting her new trend. So I kind of take after her on that.
Alli: I’ve discovered so many things that I never thought I would have loved, with Cody’s encouragement and help every day. He’s always texting me and asking me if I’m working hard or I’m going to lessons. It’s such a crazy world that we live in, so it’s cool to have that relatable source with my siblings, especially as an older brother. He says, ‘Just have fun! Whatever happens, happens.’ He has that take each day as it comes attitude and is real positive about everything.
Noah: Miley’s always given me good advice. Like if you are in front of the camera, stand tall, don’t slouch and all of that. She’s helped me a lot with my fashion. She will come over and like go through my closet and throw stuff out and bring new things in. Sometimes we dress a lot alike; the other day she came to my house, we were wearing the same outfit, same bag, not planned at all!

What was your favorite moment – or any funny stories?
Alli: The coolest part of this shoot? I would say, you know, the clothes, and I would say the company. I’ve made some really cool friends. I feel like we’re just hanging out as friends, eating cotton candy and kettle corn, and someone is taking photos.
Noah: My favorite part was eating cotton candy and the merry-go-rounds. The girls were all sitting on horses — Jack J was on a monkey, someone was on a rooster. It was like really silly and we all had a lot of fun.

What’s your personal style?
Stella: Mixing it up!
Noah: I just kind of like, wear a lot of flannels, cut off jean shorts and like black crop tops.
Alli: I would describe my fashion style as very “me”. I don’t know what other way to put it. I am not one to follow trends.

What did you want to take home from the shoot?
Stella: If I could take home one item today it would be a pair of wide legged blue and white pants I wore for one of the set ups. They were extremely comfortable and so cute. Alli put them on and I was like “Oh, I love those!”
Alli: It would be the first kimono I wore. It was really long and flowy and it just felt pretty — and I just felt pretty.
Noah: I loved the boyfriend jeans, they were really cool — they were ripped up to the top!
