Tallulah Willis shaved her head back in November, and as anyone with a buzzcut knows, it’s a look that requires a lot of maintenance. To save time and money, it helps to have someone handy with an electric shaver in the family to assist with upkeep. And who better than mom Demi Moore, the original bold female buzzcut-wearer, to pitch in occasionally?

“Mommy-daughter bonding activities,” Willis, 20, captioned the photo, which shows her mom, 52, tenderly running clippers along her daughter’s close-cropped head. It just makes sense: After all, Willis cited her mom’s G.I. Jane moment as the inspiration behind her initial big cut.

“mawms is bae. #thankgodgoodheadshapesruninthefamily.” she wrote at the time, alongside a screenshot of the film. And since then, she’s posted plenty of commentary on her buzzed-head look, including a funny side-by-side comparison with Bat Boy and a well-accessorized dome.
