It’s long been our Christmas Wish to have a celeb fully embrace the fact that they’re in a movie opening on Christmas by dressing in seasonal attire. Okay, it hasn’t really, but if anyone did indeed wish for that, Anna Kendrick is here to make all your dreams come true. See how she got decked out in holiday-ready garb promoting Into the Woods.

Dolce & Gabbana pretty much designed an Into the Woods-themed collections for the past few seasons (it’s true: their recent ad campaigns have been shot in magical-looking woods), so it makes sense that the stars of the film would want to rock the looks. Remember Emily Blunt’s stunning dark floral from the N.Y.C. premiere? Yep. That’s Dolce. The fox dress Anna picked for a screening of the film in SoHo (left) is from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection, which starred some adorable woodland creatures. If you want to get a head start on your winter party attire for next year, you can still order it from thecorner.com for a cool $1,700 (on sale!).

Deep bordeaux has long been a holiday color, and in a luxe velour texture, it’s doubly Christmas-y. The Oscar de la Renta dress that Anna wore at a London photocall with Ferragamo heels boasts a plunging neckline with a modest hemline. A bright scarlet belt puts a modern spin on a classic, and though it appears Anna styled hers a little differently than it was seen on the runway, she’s still sporting the edgy contrast the designer had in mind.
Even Anna’s LBD feels festive! For The Tonight Show, she went with a fit-and-flare Carven dress with a cheeky snap neckline, which alone is enough to stand out in a sea of basic blacks. But it’s her royal purple Christian Louboutin cutout heels that feel whimsical yet definitely high fashion. We’d also like to add her side-parted ponytail to our list of enviable, and totally doable, hairstyles.
Of course, this season is absolutely not only about red and green. For any girl who’s been to more holiday parties than she can count, cobalt is definitely in the rotation. For an appearance on The Daily Show, Anna chose a demure Temperley London frock (far right) with delicate touches of eyelet and nude Christian Louboutin heels. We pretty much insist Princess Kate own this dress too.
