We’re suckers for Dove’s beauty campaigns. They always bolster body confidence and empowerment while giving us the warm and fuzzies — like the Beauty Sketches spot from last year — and the brand’s latest video might be our favorite.
Psychologist and body image expert Dr. Ann Kearney-Cooke enlisted a group of diverse women — dealing with aging, dating, body-after baby struggles and other confidence issues — to test out Dove’s new RB-X beauty patch, “developed to enhance the way women perceive their own beauty.” Each woman in the study wore the patch for two weeks, documenting how their moods changed.
We don’t want to give too much away (you need to watch the video above), but the patch totally worked as it was intended to. Watch the women’s reactions, and have some Kleenex handy.
