Shay Mitchell, actress and lifestyle blogger: These tan Valentino “Rockstud” sandals go with everything — and they’re so comfortable. I loved the pointy stiletto style when they first came out, but I’m happy I waited for the sandal version. They feel more me!

As for my recent beauty purchase, I have a secret. I buy some of my perfumes from Whole Foods. I love the “Persian Garden” fragrance they sell there. It’s a little roll on, I put it on, and it’s kind of like my perfume for the day. It’s only $10!

Cambridge Satchel Mini, GiltCourtesy Alex Apatoff

Alex Apatoff, Style and Beauty Editor: I’ve been craving a full-size Cambridge Satchel for approximately six million years, but I have been resisting buying any more bags that I can pack my entire life into (I’m only 28 but I have the back — and television preferences — of an 80-year-old). Then I got invited to a Gilt event fêteing their exclusive colors of the Cambridge mini satchels and I almost passed out with joy. (I imagine it’s how the inventor of Twix felt when he combined everything he loved into one bar.)

The Gilt crew was kind enough to give me this bag in the “Chianti” shade, but it was too hard to pick just one color, so I’m going back for the sale (tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. — they’ve got a countdown clock running with a preview of some of the ten hues) to pick up the “Dove Gray” version — I saw it in person and it was totally lustworthy. The cutest part? They had tons of little mini products with which to stuff the mini bags (the tiny Essie nailpolish rivals this video for adorability), but take my word for it, it’s the perfect size for a wallet, phone, three lipsticks, your blotting papers, a mirror and seventeen receipts for your next night out.

Hourglass Cosmetics Ambient Lighting paletteCourtesy Catherine Kast

Catherine Kast, Style Writer: I’ve been trying to find the perfect highlighter for the end of summer/early fall makeup lull. You know, those moments when you don’t feel like applying your amazing liquid bronzer anymore but still just can’t stomach real foundation. I decided to go with the Hourglass Cosmetics Ambient Lighting palette, which contains three of the brand’s amazing shades. The first one on the left is “Dim Light,” which is super subtle, as far as highlighters go. I think it’s great for all over use on top of a tinted moisturizer since it’s not crazy shimmery. The middle powder is “Incandescent Light,” which is a lighter beige that I used to highlight the tops of my cheek bones. The powder on the right is, “Radiant Light,” which I used as a light bronzer lower on my cheeks. This even works as a quick eye brightener: I used my finger to get a little of the center powder and put it lightly on the center of my lids for a natural, yet ethereal glow. It makes selfies without a filter possible, and isn’t that what we all hope for these days?

J.Crew ShoesCourtesy Brittany Talarico

Brittany Talarico, Associate Style Editor: Confession: I REALLY wasn’t in the market for another pair of sandals (my fiancé has implemented a new “one in, one out” policy, because my closet is so stuffed at the moment), but sometimes you can’t pass up a good deal. And that’s exactly what happened with these silver crackled stacked heels from J.Crew. I was in the store to make a return, and these metallic stunners beckoned me from the cash register. Not only were they on sale, but there was an additional promotion happening and I nabbed them for 60 bucks (originally $250). I’ve already worn them with an LWD to my bridal shower and now have been wearing them in the office because I love them that much. The style is still available online, but not at the same discounted price. But I’d definitely watch them if your interested — that price tag is bound to be reduced again!
