You know that awkward moment when you see someone else wearing the same outfit as you? Well this weekend that happened to a lot of fashion bloggers — 50 times.
Retailer Lord & Taylor took over Instagram on Saturday by partnering with 50 influential fashionistas and having each post a photo wearing the same dress. The brand paid each hand-picked blogger to wear their Paisley Asymmetrical Dress to help introduce consumers to their new Design Lab collection.
The $88 dress inevitably sold out in a couple of days, but Lord & Taylor’s larger goal was also achieved: To introduce customers to their new, edgy offerings.
