Fresh off Modern Family‘s fourth Emmy win for best comedy series, ABC is in early talks for a spin-off series, Deadline reports.
While there are still many ideas being considered, one potential concept is for the new series to focus on guest star Rob Riggle, who played Phil’s (Ty Burrell) nemesis Gil Thorpe in two episodes last season.
