September 14, 2014 would have been Amy Winehouse‘s 31st birthday. On this occasion, her family unveiled a life-size statue of the late singer in Camden, north London.
Winehouse’s parents, Mitch and Jade, were present for the unveiling. Mr. Winehouse said that it was “incredibly emotional” seeing the statue. “It is like stopping her in a beautiful moment in time,” he continued. “We really hope Amy’s fans love the statue.”

The bronze statue was creased by sculptor Scott Eaton, who said he aimed to capture her “”attitude and strength, but also give subtle hints of insecurity.”
