In honor of #ThrowbackThursday, we’re taking a walk down memory lane! Dig deep into your musical memories because we’re asking you to vote for your favorite Destiny’s Child album! In case you may have forgotten about these classics, we’ll give you a little refresher after the poll!
Destiny’s Child (1998)
DC’s first album was a hit! It won Best R&B/Soul Album of the Year and spent 26 weeks on Billboard’s Top 200. It’s hard to remember the days before Destiny’s Child was the trio we most often think of! (Goodbye, LaTavia and LeToya! Draaammaaaaa….) If you still can’t remember this album, maybe you’ll remember two of its most popular hits: “No No No” and “With Me.”
The Writing’s on the Wall (1999)
This might be our favorite album. With number one hits like “Bills, Bills, Bills,” “Say My Name” and “Jumpin, Jumpin,” it was “destined” to be a smash. (And it was.) It was certified eight times platinum by the RIAA, peaked at number five on the Billboard 200, and sold more than 15 million copies worldwide. Not to mention, it racked up six Grammy nominations.
Survivor (2001)
Now, if you forgot about Survivor, you’re kicked out of the Beyhive! (Just kidding! Not really!) It also debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and remained there for two weeks, which is really good if you didn’t know. Hits from this album include: “Independent Women,” (previously a smash from the Charlie’s Angels soundtrack) “Survivor” and “Bootylicious”: three songs that will forever hold a special place in all of our divalicious hearts.
Destiny Fulfilled (2004)
This album is probably the most memorable to all of us because it marked the return of Destiny’s Child after they went on hiatus and each member began releasing her own solo albums. To this day, almost 10 years later, it is the last full-length Destiny’s Child release. (But it was pretty awesome that the trio reunited recently for a performance at the Super Bowl halftime show.) Destiny Fulfilled saw mixed reviews, but overall, we still loved it. Its most popular tracks included: “Lose My Breath,” “Soldier” and “Cater 2 U.”
